Connect with Successful People

·         First we need to define success

·         I see the Dalai Lama as an example of a Successful person

·         Harvard Professor Tal Ben-Shahar says that the ultimate currency is

·         Happiness

·         Not the dollar, so by this definition, the most successful is…

·         the happiest individual

·         But we must also emphasize that

·         Happy people are more successful than the rest

·         They are more productive, earn more, are healthier, live longer

·         I would say that you need to surround yourself with happy people

·         Because even if for some it is not clear whether there is causation or

·         Correlation between happiness and success, even taking the second look

·         We still need to connect with happy people

Here I take the approach that You can make those around You

More successful, indeed, among the most accomplished individuals anywhere!!

·         This is where I would say that you can teach those around you about…

·         Success

·         Because teaching others is the best way to learn

·         They will become happier, ergo more successful

·         This will come back to you

·         In a virtuous spiral

·         Both you and those near you will get ever happier aka more successful

·         If you broaden and Pay It Forward

·         You will also Perform Acts of Kindness

·         One of the most “selfish acts”

·         Because it should increase wellbeing around

·         And within yourself!!

·         On the road to Success and while Connecting with Successful People

·         Remember to enjoy the ride!!

·         Again: share this insight with your friends and entourage

·         We forget about the present, engaged in a rat race or

·         The Hedonic Treadmill

·         How to Connect with Successful People

·         Find your calling

·         You and the Group

·         You need to identify

·         What you are good at, what you like and what has meaning for you

·         Another important aspect of Success is reaching Optimal Experiences

·         On a daily basis, once you have made your Calling the “job” you do every day

·         The occupation you love

·         Briefly the conditions necessary for Being in the Zone are:

1.            “Goals are clear

2.            Feedback is immediate

3.            A balance between opportunity and capacity

4.            Concentration deepens

5.            The present is what matters

6.            Control is no problem

7.            Sense of time is altered

8.            The loss of ego”

               

·         To use the definition of Kant

·         I would say that The Categorical Imperative could be seen as

·         The ideal of success

·         This would of course lead to thoughts about the planet

·         Success, consumerism, climate change and ultimately the end of the earth as we know it

·         Or altogether?

·         It may sound paradoxical, but thoughts of higher things lead to…

·         Greater happiness

·         One of the rules of Happiness aka Success is

·         Taking care of your body and soul

·         Distinguish between those who see success as perfection

·         And the others, who are simply happy with excellence

·         many will see Trump as the epitome of success

·         He has the most powerful job in the world, allegedly

·         For even here there would be caveats

·         He does not seem to have the power to

·         Control his tweeter frenzy and

·         Let’s just stick to happiness, because that is the lens I am using here-

·         He is unhappy

·         To conclude

·         The level of democracy in your country is crucial

·         And the places with the most successful people are those with the…
